Peak Group’s trainee Steffen Nygaard this week visited one of our vessels, Peak Bordeaux.
Steffen has been a trainee in Peak Group for a year, and during that time he has worked at our operation and chartering department. Now he works at our Hamburg office where he will stay for 3 months. Visit to our vessels is also a part of the program, and as soon as the opportunity is there, this is included. On Peak Bordeaux he met colleagues, observed securing of cargo and learned about how the vessel is operated. Sailing as crew will be a part of the program later, along with a stay at our ship management in Delfzijl.
“Being a trainee in Peak Group give me a broad understanding of shipping since I am working with the whole range of shipping processes, and it is interesting to get the opportunity to work abroad as a part of the program”, says Steffen.
Peak Group recruit trainees on a regular basis. “We see trainees as a valuable assets in developing Peak Group further as an innovative company” says CEO Jan-Petter Slethaug.
