We are happy to introduce our new colleague in Peak Germany, Mareke Wilts!
Mareke will join the team in Hamburg as Chartering Broker. She has been working within shipping and chartering from the early beginning of her career. More precisely traineeship and studies in Leer followed by the position as Operator for MPP coasters and shortly after she moved to the Chartering desk for the same vessels. Mareke later took responsibility for the MPP short sea tonnage in project as well as bulk or general breakbulk cargoes. All in all, we are proud to tell that it is a very experienced colleague that now joins our team!
- Being part of the connection between different economies with so many inspiring people from different countries, was really exciting for me as a person grown up in a really small village in northern Germany. In this fast moving sector you will face new challenges on a daily basis and I am not getting tired of finding solution. Thats why the maritime industry is so fascinating, Mareke says.
- When I decided to take a new step in my career, Peak was an easy choice, adds Mareke. Peak is a well known and reliable partner in Europe. I believe it is significant that even with the expanding of Peak Group during the past years, the company does not loose the focus in the short sea sector as base for success.
Asked about the first days in office, Mareke thinks that they have been very exciting. She joined the Peak Germany team with a warm welcome and full support. - Now I look forward to my onboarding time in Bergen to work with my new colleagues in the headoffice as well, Mareke says.
Mareke, we are so happy to have you with us!
