Peak Agency welcomes Thialf, the worlds second largest semi-submersible crane vessel, to Stavanger.

About Thialf:

• Operated by: Heerema Marine Contractors

• Tonnage: 136.709 GT

• Height: 144 m cranes

• Lifting capacity: 14,200 metric tons (tandem)

• Accommodation: 736 people

Thialf has been involved in many important oil&gas and renewables projects, as the installation of the platform sections of the Johan Sverdrup complex and the Alpha Ventus project (Germany’s first offshore wind farm project), just to mention a couple of them. This week the vessel has been involved in the switch of cranes at the Norne oil field.
